Urazandi Project

Urazandi

The Urazandi project in full sail

The Urazandi (“from overseas”) Collection compiles the history of the most important Basque Clubs all over the World, based on first hand memories of those who emigrated.

The presentation of the first fifteen volumes of this collection took place last July, 2003, in Vitoria-Gasteiz, during the Third World Congress of Basque Communities. However, the collection is expected to continue growing in the near future with new volumes.

Several academic work groups from different countries have participated in the process of recording and compiling of memories as well as the writing of the books, under the coordination of the Directorate for Relations with Basque Communities.

Through this web page you have the possibility to consult the indices of the different volumes, each of them in the language in which the original was published.

If you are interested in purchasing the books, you can consult the general catalogue of books published by the Basque Government.
