La Delegación de Euskadi para la UE y Euskal Fondoa organizan con el apoyo de ALDA y del Programa “Europa para los Ciudadanos”, y en colaboración con el PNUD, PLATFORMA, CRPM y CONCORD, un seminario en la Delegación del Gobierno Vasco en Bruselas sobre las nuevas perspectivas de la cooperación al desarrollo.

Los objetivos del seminario son:

-        Elevar el conocimiento de las agendas y temas europeos e internacionales en discusión (Año Europeo de Desarrollo de 2015);

-        Fortalecer el papel de las autoridades regionales y locales y la participación de los ciudadanos en la formulación y ejecución de políticas;

-        Impulsar la innovación, alianzas multi-nivel y más eficaces entre las autoridades regionales y locales y las organizaciones de la sociedad civil;

-        Incorporar al debate europeo e internacional aquellos elementos de especial valor añadido que aportan las autoridades regionales y locales, tales como su proximidad a las necesidades de los ciudadanos, su eficiencia y sus instrumentos e indicadores de rendición de cuentas.

The seminar is organized in Brussels by the Delegation of the Basque Country to the EU and Euskal Fondoa – Association of Basque Local Entities for Cooperation, with the support of ALDA and the Programme Europe for Citizens, and in collaboration with UNDP, PLATFORMA, CPMR and CONCORD.

The objectives of the seminar are:

-        to widely raise awareness of the European and international agendas and issues at stake, especially coming into the European Year of Development 2015;

-        to strengthen the role of regional and local authorities in enhancing the active involvement and participation of citizens in policy making and implementation;

-        to boost innovative, multi-level and more effective alliances and partnerships between regional and local authorities and civil society organizations;

-        and to bring to the European and international debate those elements of particular added value of regional and local authorities, such as their proximity to the needs of citizens, their efficiency and their instruments and indicators for accountability.
